Licensed Attorney, VP Legal

Job Summary

Serving as the senior legal leader and strategic advisor, the full-time remote Licensed Attorney, VP Legal will oversee all legal matters, manage the legal team, and provide guidance on regulatory and commercial issues while ensuring compliance with privacy laws and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the CEO and executive team on legal strategy, risk, and regulatory developments
• Direct global privacy compliance and manage complex regulatory and competition proceedings
• Develop and manage the legal team, setting priorities and evolving legal operations infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of legal experience, with 10+ years in-house at a consumer-facing technology company
• 7+ years in legal leadership roles, including 2+ years at a senior level (VP, Deputy General Counsel, etc.)
• JD and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
• Deep expertise in privacy/data protection, technology platform regulation, or antitrust/competition law
• Proven ability to manage legal teams and outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions
