Job Summary
To support the delivery of mental health and substance use disorder services, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Advocate will perform utilization review and manage crisis calls remotely, ensuring appropriate care levels for members.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct utilization management and review of behavioral health admissions and continued stays
- Ensure that services provided are medically necessary and delivered in appropriate settings
- Coordinate discharge planning and transitions between care settings to promote quality outcomes
Required qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, or registered psychiatric nurse
- Active, unrestricted, independent license in a behavioral health field (e.g., LP, LPC, LCSW)
- 3+ years of post-licensure clinical experience in a related behavioral health environment
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Access to secure, high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace at home
