Licensed Behavioral Health Advocate

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Licensed Behavioral Health Advocate will manage utilization review of mental health and substance use disorder services, respond to provider and facility treatment requests, and deescalate crisis calls from members.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform utilization management and concurrent review of behavioral health admissions and continued stay
• Ensure behavioral health care services are medically necessary and provided in the most appropriate setting
• Integrate a collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate options and services for enrollees' health needs

Required qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
• Active, unrestricted, independent license in a behavioral health field (e.g., LP, LPC, LCSW)
• 3+ years of post-licensure clinical experience in a related behavioral health environment
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Access to secure, high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace at home
