Job Summary
To support a growing mental health initiative, the full-time Remote Behavioral Health Care Advocate will manage case administration and utilization review for behavioral health and substance abuse cases, working remotely within an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST for a temporary duration of 5 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day management of behavioral health benefits for facility-based care
- Utilize clinical assessments to determine appropriate levels of care and evaluate the need for additional clinical services
- Coordinate benefits and transitions between various levels of care while consulting with facility staff to improve treatment outcomes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health discipline, or an RN with 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
- Independent, active, and unrestricted license in the state of residence
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related mental health environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Outlook, Internet)
- Willingness to work occasional holidays and accommodate changes in working hours as needed
