Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager

Job Summary

To support mental health and substance abuse services, the remote Licensed Behavioral Health Care Manager will monitor treatment effectiveness, provide crisis intervention, and assist with care coordination while ensuring compliance with medical necessity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inpatient and outpatient care services to ensure medical necessity and effectiveness
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as assigned
• Develop and implement discharge plans in collaboration with providers and facilities

Required qualifications

• Current licensure as CEAP, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LSW, or RN
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance abuse settings
• Knowledge of utilization management procedures and community resources
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Ability to analyze utilization problems and implement quality care solutions
