Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

Job Summary

To support community-based mental health services, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will conduct clinical reviews to ensure medical necessity for service authorizations, working remotely during flexible weekend dayshift hours in Virginia and North Carolina.

Key responsibilities:

• Review clinical information from providers to determine medical necessity for behavioral health services
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and clinical review requirements for various payers
• Accurately enter information into the claims system for payment processing

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or RN in Virginia or North Carolina
• At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health
• Minimum of 1 year of case management experience
• Preferred experience in community-based mental health services and utilization management
