Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

Job Summary

To support a growing Medical Management team, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments related to mental health and substance abuse, ensuring appropriate levels of care while working remotely within the EST or CST time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
• Conduct prior authorization and concurrent reviews of behavioral health services in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Engage with healthcare providers and leadership to improve care quality and efficiency

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field required
• License to practice independently as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN
• 2-4 years of related experience in mental health and substance abuse
• Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
• Experience with the mental health and substance abuse utilization review process preferred
