Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

Job Summary

To support the Medical Management/Health Services team, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments related to mental health and substance abuse, focusing on prior authorization and concurrent reviews in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate member treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness
• Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews related to behavioral health services
• Engage with healthcare providers and medical directors to improve care quality and efficiency

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant field required
• Independent clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN) required
• 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral health settings preferred
• Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse utilization review processes preferred
• Experience working with healthcare teams to review care services preferred
