Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary
To support behavioral health services, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will review clinical information for medical necessity, ensuring compliance with regulations while working remotely from Virginia or North Carolina.
Key responsibilities:
- Review clinical information to determine authorization for services based on medical necessity criteria
- Ensure accurate data entry into the claims system for payment processing
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for various payers
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Valid state license as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, RN, LSATP, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health
- At least 1 year of experience in case management
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and utilization management preferred
