Job Summary
To ensure the appropriateness of care, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will conduct clinical reviews and assessments for mental health and substance abuse services in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness of care
- Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews related to behavioral health services
- Engage with healthcare providers and leadership to enhance the quality and efficiency of care
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- License to practice independently as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
- 2-4 years of experience in behavioral health or related fields preferred
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans for mental health and substance abuse preferred
- Familiarity with the utilization review process in behavioral health preferred
