Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director, Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and oversight for behavioral health programs and chemical dependency services
• Facilitates regional medical necessity reviews and standardizes utilization management across all business lines
• Implements clinical practice guidelines and tracks compliance with quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in psychiatry/behavioral health
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active and unrestricted license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements affecting medical staff
• Experience working in a cross-collaborative, matrixed organization
