Job Summary
To support the TriCare/Department of Defense and Community Care Network/Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Licensed Behavioral Health Medical Director will provide clinical guidance across medical management domains, lead quality initiatives, and collaborate with various teams to enhance care for veterans and military beneficiaries.
Key responsibilities
- Provide program-wide clinical guidance in Utilization Management, Case Management, Quality, and Public Health
- Lead quality committees and collaborative safety initiatives while reviewing member cases for appropriateness and quality of care
- Develop and implement corrective action plans related to clinical quality or provider performance, collaborating closely with TriWest teams
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
- Board certification or board eligibility through a recognized specialty board
- Minimum of 5 years of medical practice experience, with 3+ years in managed care environments
- U.S. Citizenship and favorable background investigation through the Department of Defense (DoD)
