Job Summary
To support members living with cancer and complex behavioral health needs, the remote Licensed Behavioral Health Oncology Nurse will conduct clinical assessments, coordinate care, and provide education to members and caregivers, while collaborating with the Care Team to enhance service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing nursing support for members with varying degrees of behavioral health concerns, conducting assessments and monitoring progress
- Coordinate care and establish targeted support plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize patient care and address social determinants of health
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and multi-state, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) compact license
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in advanced clinical judgment in complex behavioral health cases; preferred experience in oncology nursing
- Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred and required within 2 years of hire
- Experience with telemedicine platforms and comfort in learning new technologies
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and patients
