Job Summary
Focusing on behavioral health disability case management activities, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist will work remotely to advise employees and manage leave processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while supporting return-to-work efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Advises employees and managers on leave and disability policies, coordinating the leave process and verifying eligibility
- Conducts telephonic interviews with employees applying for disability, collecting necessary medical information to support claims
- Collaborates with healthcare providers and monitors employee progress during disability, facilitating return-to-work efforts
Required qualifications
- Independently Licensed Mental Health Specialist (LPC, LP, LCSW, or LMFT) with current licensure required
- Minimum of two years' experience in clinical case management or evidenced-based psychotherapy
- Prior experience in absence management preferred
- Knowledge of ERISA and federal/state leave laws preferred
- Certification in Case Management or Certified Disability Management Specialist preferred
