Licensed Bilingual Hotline Counselor

Job Summary

Providing psychosocial support and resources to help-seekers, the part-time Licensed Bilingual Hotline Counselor will manage incoming inquiries via phone, text, and chat for the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming inquiries and conduct assessments to provide immediate psychosocial support and evidence-based information
• Educate help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and refer them to appropriate services
• Maintain accurate documentation of cases in the Salesforce system in real-time, ensuring adherence to established policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) preferred
• Fluency in Spanish is required
• Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional with maternal and child health experience, or a National or State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist
• Two years of work experience in the maternal and child health population
• Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence
