Job Summary
To support the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline, the fully remote Licensed Bilingual Hotline Counselor will engage with help-seekers by providing psychosocial support, referrals, and resources to pregnant and postpartum individuals, while managing incoming inquiries through various communication channels.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephonic, text, and chat inquiries, conducting assessments and providing immediate psychosocial support and evidence-based information
- Educate help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and refer them to appropriate services within approved directories
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of cases in the Salesforce system while ensuring professionalism and confidentiality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is required
- Licensed Mental Health Clinician or Licensed Healthcare Professional with experience in maternal and child health
- Two years of work experience in the maternal and child health population
- Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence
