Job Summary
To support the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline, the fully remote Licensed Bilingual Hotline Counselor will manage incoming inquiries, providing psychosocial support and resources to pregnant and postpartum individuals while working a 40-hour schedule that includes nights and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephonic, text, and chat inquiries, conducting assessments and providing immediate psychosocial support and referrals
- Educate help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and maintain accurate documentation of cases in the Salesforce system
- Ensure professionalism and confidentiality while engaging with help-seekers and participating in team meetings and training sessions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) is preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is required
- Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional, or National/State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist
- Two years of work experience in maternal and child health
- Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, $3,000,000 aggregate
