Job Summary
Acting as the primary claims advisor, the full-time remote Licensed Claims Consultant will manage client relationships throughout the insurance claims lifecycle, providing strategic guidance and advocacy to ensure fair and efficient claims handling.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary claims liaison for clients across multiple lines of coverage, ensuring adherence to best practices and policy obligations
- Provide strategic guidance on claim reporting, development, settlement strategy, and resolution, particularly for complex or disputed claims
- Analyze claim trends and prepare recommendations to reduce total cost of risk while supporting renewal and placement efforts with claims insights
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in claims management or related roles, with a preference for handling complex or large loss claims
- Deep understanding of insurance policy language and claims processes
- Adjuster license (as applicable) and industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, AIC, or SCLA
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
