Licensed Claims Counsel

Job Summary

Managing and resolving claims under title insurance policies, the full-time Licensed Claims Counsel will negotiate settlements, retain outside counsel, and handle a personal caseload of complex legal matters while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve claims initiated under title insurance policies and products
• Negotiate settlements and claim resolutions with claimants, third parties, and opposing counsel
• Retain, monitor, and manage outside counsel and legal representation of insured clients

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
• Typically requires 2+ years of related work experience
