Licensed Claims Counsel

Job Summary

To support the resolution of title insurance claims, the remote AVP Senior Claims Counsel will investigate claims, develop legal strategies, and manage litigation while collaborating with Claims Management and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of title insurance claims and develop resolution strategies
• Direct and supervise litigation, including engaging outside counsel as necessary
• Negotiate settlements and draft necessary legal documents and agreements

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum five years of experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to prepare and present legal materials and educational content
