Job Summary

To support the Claims Management team, the remote Licensed Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, manage litigation, and collaborate with various stakeholders while ensuring compliance with jurisdictional claims handling practices.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations of claims and develop strategies for their resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
  • Negotiate settlements and supervise litigation, including engaging outside counsel as needed
  • Draft legal agreements, educational materials, and assist in training staff on claims handling practices
Required qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate Degree
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
  • Minimum five years of experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and interpret legal documents effectively
