Job Summary
To support claims management, the remote Licensed Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, manage litigation, and collaborate with various stakeholders while holding a Juris Doctorate and a valid law license.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of claims and develop resolution strategies based on legal analysis
- Direct and supervise litigation, including engaging outside counsel and negotiating settlements
- Draft agreements, training materials, and present at seminars while assisting in claims management tasks
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents and prepare presentations
