Licensed Claims Counsel

Job Summary

To support the Claims Management team, the remote Licensed Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, manage litigation processes, and collaborate with various stakeholders while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
• Negotiate settlements and manage litigation, including engaging outside counsel as necessary
• Draft legal documents and training materials, and present at seminars to educate stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Licensed to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum of five years' experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents effectively
