Job Summary
To support the claims team, the remote Licensed Claims Counsel will apply legal expertise in auto claims, provide coverage opinions, and collaborate with claims management while ensuring compliance with multi-state tort laws.
Key responsibilities
- Apply experienced insight to private passenger automobiles, contract interpretation, and litigation matters
- Research, draft, and communicate insurance coverage opinions to claims management and legal professionals
- Present training sessions on legal topics to adjuster teams and management
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor with an active license to practice law
- 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance defense litigation
- Technical understanding of property/casualty insurance principles
- Experience with risk analysis and decision-making
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a dynamic environment
