Licensed Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist, Utilization Management (Part B Drugs).

Key Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests for drugs and biologics under the Part B benefit
• Review appeals of previously denied requests and ensure members understand their benefits
• Provide support for internal clinical and non-clinical staff regarding policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Pharmacist (RPh) with 2+ years of utilization management experience or completion of a managed care residency
• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
• Active pharmacist license in at least one state
• Willingness to work Monday-Friday from 12 PM to 8:30 PM EST, with rotating weekend on-call and holidays
• Experience with pharmacy-related quality assurance work is preferred but not required
