Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Job Summary
Providing comprehensive psychosocial support, the full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker will conduct assessments, offer crisis intervention, and connect patients with community resources, working remotely during the hours of 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify and address emotional concerns related to cancer diagnosis and treatment
- Provide immediate support and intervention during behavioral health crises and significant changes in prognosis
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and advocate for patients' needs with relevant agencies
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid and current master's level license in the practice state (e.g., LISW, LCSW)
- Preferred certifications: OSW-C or APHSW-C
- Minimum three to five years of experience as a social worker in a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology or palliative care
- Proficiency in using technology for virtual patient interactions and documentation
