Licensed Commercial Underwriting Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing commercial title operation, the full-time Licensed Commercial Underwriting Counsel will drive the development of an end-to-end operational process for title transactions, manage all technical aspects from underwriting to post-close, and utilize data for decision-making while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development of a new, end-to-end operational process for title transactions
• Manage all technical aspects of commercial title transactions, including underwriting and post-close operations
• Utilize data to inform decision-making and implement continual process improvements

Required qualifications

• General understanding of underwriting regional or national commercial real estate transactions for title insurance policies
• 5-10 years of title underwriting experience
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the bar in at least one US state
• Proven history of managing and serving customers effectively
