Job Summary

To support a growing national team, the full-time Licensed Commercial Underwriting Counsel will provide underwriting support and counsel related to real estate title insurance, utilizing underwriting standards within delegated authority limits while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies
• Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines to underwrite the issuance of title insurance within delegated authority limits
• Guide company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services and issue underwriting standards in accordance with established processes

Required qualifications

• Law Degree required
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing
• 5-7 years of title underwriting experience, with a preference for commercial experience
• Familiarity with real estate law, including federal and state regulations
• Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes
