Licensed Data Center Design Director

Job Summary

Leading the design of global data center standards, the full-time Licensed Data Center Design Director will define critical infrastructure requirements for next-generation AI/ML compute hardware, manage engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement in design processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own global data center design standards, focusing on power density and critical infrastructure
• Lead architecture and engineering phases for purpose-built data center programs, ensuring reliability and efficiency
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, serving as the final technical authority on all data center engineering decisions

Required qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in data center design or critical infrastructure engineering
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Expert knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards and relevant building codes
