Licensed EAP Counselor - MN

Job Summary

Providing telephonic assessment and solution-focused consultation, the remote Licensed EAP Counselor - MN will manage inbound calls related to behavioral health benefits, engage in short-term problem resolution, and facilitate counseling referrals, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST / 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST.

Key responsibilities

• Take calls from a queue in a call center environment and respond to crisis calls
• Determine member eligibility and benefit coverage, triaging calls appropriately
• Document clinical notes and provide authorizations for appropriate outpatient care

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health license in the state of residence
• 2+ years of experience in a mental health setting
• Dedicated workspace/home office and secure high-speed internet
