Job Summary
Providing telephonic assessment and solution-focused consultation, the full-time Licensed EAP Specialist will manage inbound calls regarding behavioral health benefits, engage in short-term problem resolution, and facilitate referrals while working remotely within the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Take calls from a queue in a call center environment and respond to crisis calls, determining member eligibility and triaging appropriately
- Initiate counseling referrals and provide authorizations for appropriate outpatient care while documenting clinical notes in the care management database
- Conduct thorough assessments of risk and develop individualized action plans using Solution Focused Consultation and Motivational Interviewing
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related counseling field
- Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health license in the state of residence
- 2+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting
- Dedicated workspace/home office and secure high-speed internet at home
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST
