Licensed EEO Attorney
Job Summary
Supporting the United States Department of Agriculture, the full-time Licensed EEO Attorney will draft Final Agency Decision letters, review legal documents for sufficiency, and assist in processing EEO complaints while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and prepare Final Agency Decisions (FADs) as the primary function of the role
- Review Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency and assist in processing EEO complaints
- Conduct legal research and draft formal legal documents, including appeal documents and counselor's reports
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required; must be barred in a US State or Territory
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lawyer
- At least three (3) years of experience in federal sector civil rights matters and processing federal sector EEO complaints
- Proven experience writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level for a minimum of three (3) years
- Knowledge of relevant civil rights laws, including Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
