Job Summary

To support a growing direct-to-consumer health technology company, the part-time In-House General Counsel will lead the legal function by managing data privacy strategies, negotiating commercial contracts, and ensuring compliance with marketing and consumer protection regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company's data privacy and protection strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor and partnership contracts
• Provide legal guidance on marketing claims and advertising compliance to support business continuity

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law
• 4+ years of legal experience, preferably in healthtech or direct-to-consumer environments
• Experience with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA and CCPA/CPRA
• Strong background in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
• Experience advising on marketing claims and consumer protection law
