Licensed General Counsel & Compliance Officer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Licensed General Counsel & Compliance Officer, the full-time remote position will manage legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and data privacy across global operations while advising executive leadership and leveraging AI-powered legal tools for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international, national, and local laws, managing legal risks across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, managing cross-border transactions and compliance
• Advise on corporate governance best practices and maintain internal controls for regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• JD, LLB, or equivalent degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; multi-jurisdictional licensure preferred
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role with international exposure in a multinational corporation or law firm
• Demonstrated experience in GDPR compliance and serving in or alongside a Data Privacy Officer function
• Proven experience managing internal controls frameworks and regulatory compliance programs
