Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP Managing General Counsel, Risk and Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on litigation and professional liability exposures, focusing on risk mitigation
• Oversee a national portfolio of professional liability litigation, including case strategy and resolution
• Develop infrastructure for a self-insured or captive insurance program and manage claims processes

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in any U.S. state
• 15+ years of litigation experience, including professional liability and commercial matters
• Experience developing and managing self-insured or captive professional liability programs
• Familiarity with managing legal risk in a corporate or healthcare environment
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to healthcare and insurance
