Job Summary
To support the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline, the full-time Licensed Hotline Counselor will provide psychosocial support, referrals, and resources to pregnant and postpartum individuals through telephonic, text, and chat inquiries in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming inquiries and conduct assessments to provide immediate psychosocial support and brief interventions
- Educate help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and refer them to appropriate services
- Maintain accurate documentation of cases in the Salesforce system in real-time, adhering to established policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) is preferred
- Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Healthcare Professional, or National/State-Certified Doula, Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, or Peer Specialist
- Two years of work experience in the maternal and child health population
- Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence
- Demonstrated proficiency in using software applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
