Job Summary
Focused on developing and applying digital solutions in quantitative hydrogeology, the full-time Licensed Hydrogeologist will manage complex groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling assignments remotely, collaborating with senior technical staff on environmental remediation and water resources projects.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource within the groundwater modeling practice, conducting groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling
- Participate in the development of digital solutions and model testing protocols to enhance model accuracy and utility
- Execute diverse quantitative assignments, manage tasks to meet deadlines and budgets, and communicate findings to senior staff and stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in hydrogeology or a related field with formal training in quantitative hydrogeology and numerical modeling
- 6-10 years of experience in groundwater flow and chemical transport modeling, including hydrologic data analysis
- Proficiency with hydrogeologic software such as MODFLOW and GIS tools like ArcGIS
- Computer programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Fortran
- Experience with aquifer test analysis software and familiarity with geospatial modeling tools is desirable
