Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the part-time Licensed Intake Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will deliver comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and young adults, working remotely with a flexible schedule focused on core hours after 3pm ET and/or weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients aged 2-26, establishing a strong clinical foundation for care
- Collaborate with therapists to develop individualized treatment plans that address root causes of behavioral challenges
- Educate parents and caregivers during the intake process, guiding them through their child's diagnosis and next steps in mental health care
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program
- PMHNP-BC certification
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure
- Active license in PA, VA, NJ, or MD
- DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority
