Licensed Interim General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Interim General Counsel (Contract, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the legal and compliance functions, overseeing legal, regulatory, and enterprise risk matters
• Provide legal and strategic counsel to the CEO, business leaders, and the Board
• Manage compliance programs and regulatory strategy, engaging with relevant regulatory bodies

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience, including time at a top-tier U.S. law firm and in-house
• Experience as a General Counsel or senior legal leader in the fintech or regulated consumer credit sector
• Expertise in U.S. consumer lending laws and regulations
• Experience with state licensing and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence
