Licensed Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical evaluation of vendor proposed system designs and assess design maturity and performance
• Write technical papers on the risks of systems meeting USCG/ABS design standards
• Conduct cost estimation for proposed ship construction changes and perform root cause analysis of shipboard failures

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Four to twelve years of experience in the shipbuilding industry in mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of industry construction standards for mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
