Licensed Mechanical Stress Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Stress Analysis Engineer (RES) to support advanced nuclear reactor design activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and thermal stress analyses, including fatigue, creep, and creep-fatigue evaluations
• Conduct structural joint configuration evaluations and optimization using established analysis models and methods
• Support component design teams by analyzing specific mechanical issues and providing actionable feedback

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university
• 5-10 years of relevant mechanical stress analysis experience
• Demonstrated expertise with ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1, including high-temperature applications
• Experience with creep, fatigue, and creep-fatigue analysis methods
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
