Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder 3 who will tackle complex outpatient cases in a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, or HCPCS codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures on complex hospital outpatient visits
• Utilizes coding software and technical principles to ensure accurate coding and compliance
• Educates multidisciplinary team members on coding regulations and resolves discrepancies in clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited coding certificate program or Health Information Technician program
• 2 years of coding experience
• One of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CCS-P, CPC-H, COC, or AAPC specialty certifications
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Health Information
• Preferred: 2 years of coding experience with various professional and hospital accounts
