Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director - Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the utilization management team, managing high-risk cases and medical necessity decisions
• Participate in the appeals process and address quality of care concerns with providers
• Assist in the development and evaluation of clinical programs and medical policies

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Active and current state medical license without encumbrances
• MD or DO degree
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience as a psychiatrist
• Experience with managed care and utilization review preferred
