Job Summary
Leading the development and launch of the Mental Health Counseling (MMHC) program, the full-time remote Licensed Mental Health Counseling Chair will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and fostering community partnerships.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop the curriculum while establishing policies and assessment processes to ensure program quality and compliance with accreditation standards
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate faculty, promoting a collaborative culture of academic excellence
- Prepare and submit accreditation applications and reports, overseeing the collection and analysis of assessment data for continuous improvement
Required qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Counselor Education and Supervision or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent credential
- Minimum of five years of combined experience in clinical mental health counseling practice and higher education teaching
- Demonstrated experience with CACREP accreditation standards and processes
- Proven experience in academic program leadership or academic administration
