Licensed Mortgage Underwriter III

Job Summary

Managing a pipeline of conventional loans, the full-time Licensed Mortgage Underwriter III will review loan files to ensure compliance with company and investor standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite conventional loans and conduct simple and complex underwriting reviews within established turn times
• Identify document deficiencies and request additional information from clients as needed
• Assist other departments with interpreting underwriting guidelines and provide updates on loan statuses

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the mortgage industry or residential mortgage loan underwriting
• High school diploma required
• Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry practices and regulations
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products and Encompass
