Licensed Nurse Bill Reviewer

Job Summary

To support the reimbursement process for complex medical bills, the full-time Licensed Nurse Bill Reviewer will review and research bills involving multiple surgeries and EMGs, ensuring accuracy based on state fee schedules and operative reports while working remotely within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Review and research complex medical bills to ensure proper reimbursement
• Handle complex bill re-evaluations and respond to denial reasons
• Verify accuracy of assigned codes against medical charts

Required qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
• Valid nursing license for the state of work
• 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Strong computer literacy skills
• Mental flexibility to learn coding (CPT and ICD codes)
