Licensed Nurse Practitioner Consultant
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Consultant Mid Level to provide clinical leadership and expertise within the clinical investigation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical and strategic leadership for operational teams
- Assist with high level clinical reviews, including appeals and peer-to-peer interactions
- Collaborate with clinical operations teams on complex cases and educate providers on clinical coding practices
Required Qualifications
- Current, active, and fully non-restricted licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- 3+ years of clinical practice experience
- CPT/HCPCS/ICD-9/ICD-10 coding experience with knowledge of health insurance business
- Familiarity with current medical issues and practices
