Job Summary
Providing personalized education and support, the full-time Licensed Oncology Information Specialist will work remotely to assist blood cancer patients and their families, advocating for patient self-advocacy and facilitating communication with healthcare teams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalized blood cancer education and psychosocial support to patients and caregivers
- Promote patient self-advocacy and help reduce barriers to blood cancer care
- Stay updated on blood cancer research and represent the organization at professional events
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, health education, nursing, or a related healthcare field with current licensure
- At least three years of experience in a healthcare delivery setting, preferably in cancer care
- Previous oncology experience, particularly in hematology, is preferred
- Proficiency with productivity technologies, including Microsoft products
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are preferred but not required
