Job Summary
To support patients throughout their cancer journey, the full-time Licensed Oncology Social Worker will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, emotional support, and resource linkage while collaborating with healthcare teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to address emotional concerns and support patients and families
- Identify and connect patients with relevant community resources to meet complex social needs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and address social or emotional barriers impacting treatment adherence
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid and current master's level license in the state of practice (e.g., LMSW, LISW, LCSW)
- Preferred certifications include OSW-C or APHSW-C
- Minimum three to five years of experience as a social worker in a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology or palliative care
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed
