Job Summary
Offering remote support, the Licensed Oncology Social Worker will provide comprehensive psychosocial and emotional assistance to patients and their families during their cancer journey, focusing on assessment, crisis intervention, and resource linkage.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to address emotional concerns and behavioral health needs
- Provide immediate support during behavioral health crises and facilitate care coordination with healthcare teams
- Advocate for patients' needs and connect them with relevant community resources and support services
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
- Valid and current master's level license in the practice state (e.g., LISW, LCSW)
- Preferred certifications include OSW-C or APHSW-C
- Minimum three to five years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology or palliative care
- Proven ability to adapt to dynamic environments and learn new technologies
